ABOUT FORD COUNTY WIND FARM
Ford County Wind Farm is helping Illinois take another step towards energy independence while diversifying the Ford County economy and providing long-term support to the rural farm community.
The project is located approximately four miles north of Gibson City. The entire project is being built on private land with the consent of individual land owners south of the county line towards Gibson City and east to Highway 47.

AN ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR FORD COUNTY
Ford County Wind Farm is creating jobs and generating an entirely new source of sustainable long-term revenue for local schools, government services, and private property owners. The total direct financial impact to the region will be in the millions over the projected 30-year life of the project through tax revenues and direct landowner payments. Revenue from this project will also inject millions of dollars into the Ford County economy to support local merchants, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
